Tenacious D are one of my favourite bands so it was only natural that I would like this film.
It's about how Jack met Kyle but in an over-the-top and exaggerated manner.
Jack leaves home and goes to Hollywood (because Dio told him to) and meets Kyle. They then form a band but are not very good, so they go in search of the legendary Pick of Destiny, a pick that was carved out of the devil's tooth and can give the user awesome guitar skills.
This film has so many awesome cameos that it's hard to find them all when you first watch it; major ones are the likes of Ben Stiller, Dave Grohl as the devil, Dio, Meatloaf and John C. Reilly as Sasquatch).
It's a rock musical and is extremely funny, but only if you're a fan of the D.
